Je commençais à m'inquiéter un peu. Les dernières informations étaient vagues :"il faut remplir le container, puis faire les démarches de douane et charger sur un cargo. Vous serez prévenu quand le bateau prendra la mer..."

Et puis un courriel avec des éléments précis : le nom du bateau, les coordonnées du transitaire en France, une date de débarquement potentiel.

Vendredi, j'avais un courriel du transitaire. Des papiers et des informations à fournir.

Donc, pour l'instant, tout va bien !

LE TORRENTE : la Goldwing est dans l'un de ces container.... Yes, the motorcycle is somewhere in there !

I was starting to worry a bit. The latest information was vague: "you have to fill the container, then go through customs and load on a cargo ship. You will be notified when the boat sets sail..." And then an email with specific details: the name of the boat, the contact details of the freight forwarder in France, a potential landing date. On Friday, I had an email from the freight forwarder. Documents and information to be provided. So, for now, all is well!

The Torrente departed New York on July 2. It first made a stopover in Philadelphia on the 3rd then a stop from the 6th to the 8th in Norforlk. The crossing of the Atlantic Ocean started two days ago. The boat is expected in Le Havre on July 22, before going to Southampton the next day. Between the two, are there other stopovers? Mystery....

Le Torrente a quitté New York le 2 juillet. Il a d'abord fait escale à Philadelphie le 3 puis un arrêt du 6 au 8 à Norforlk. Il a démarré sa traversée de l'Océan Atlantique il y a deux jours. Il est attendu au Hâvre le 22 juillet, avant d'aller le lendemain à Southampton. Entre les deux, y-a-t-il d'autres escales ? Mystère....
