Reprendre la Route... On The Road Again...

Ça me démange depuis des mois, des années... Après avoir traversé les Etats-Unis d'Est en Ouest, après avoir parcouru la Côte Ouest de l'Oregon à l'Arizona, j'ai enfin ressorti la Goldwing de deux ans et demi d'arrêt chez nos amis Rick et Sally à Phoenix à l'automne 2021 pour la ramener, avec Maxim, près de San Francisco.

It's been a while since I wished to ride again.... After I crossed the US for East to West, after I drove down from Oregon to Arizona, I finally bring the Goldwing to light after two and a half years of storage in our riends Rick and Sally's garage in Phoenix. We drove with Maxim to the San Francisco Bay Area un October 2021.

And now, in May 2022 (in French, "En Mai, fait ce qu'il te plait" - do what ever pleases you in May but it is in terms of what you wear....) I've decided to bring back the Goldwing to Europe !

"Mai, fait ce qu'il te plait" dit le dicton. Surtout après Avril, quand on ne se découvre pas d'un fil... J'ai donc décidé de ramener la Goldwing en Europe. Elle a 30 ans, c'est un véhicule de collection. Et il n'existe pas de modèle similaire ici. Elle sera parfaite pour mes futures petites escapades en France.

Pour ce faire, je prépare le retour vers New York. Un voyage de 4800 km, toujours par des routes traversant des petites villes et des villages oubliés : la Route 50, the "loneliest Road of America".

I'm ready to bring the motorcycle back to New York on a 3100 Miles trip, again on back roads, crossing forgotten small towns : I will drive the US Route 50, the "Loneliest Road of America".

My goal is to arrive on May 23rd or 24th to leave the Goldwing in the Port of Newark where Schumacher Cargo Logistics INC will put it in a container and transport it by boat to the Port of Le Havre where I will be supposed to have it end of August.... I hope you will be able to follow me with the blog. I'm ready !

Démarrant de Hayward CA au début du mois de Mai, je dois arriver au Port de Newark le 23 ou 24 mai. Là, Schumacher Cargo Logistics INC va charger la moto dans un container qui va traverser l'Atlantique et devrait arriver au Havre fin août. Vous pourrez suivre le trajet sur ce blog. Je suis prêt !
